As the dust settles on Week 2 of the college football season, some teams have solidified their positions, while others have made significant leaps. Georgia and Michigan remain unshakeable, holding their ground at number 1 and number 2, respectively. Not far behind, Florida State continues to impress, retaining their spot at number 3.
However, the talk of the week has to be the Texas Longhorns. Their stunning victory against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa was nothing short of spectacular. This massive win has propelled them all the way up to 4th place in this week’s Power Rankings. As for the Ohio State Buckeyes, they maintain their position in the top 5. Although their performance against the Youngstown State left some room for criticism, they still managed to secure the win.
The Pac-12 makes a strong showing this week with Washington and USC coming in at numbers 6 and 7. Despite their recent loss, the Alabama Crimson Tide have managed to stay within the top 10, landing at number 10. This speaks to the strength and reputation of their program.
Outside the top 10, Duke remains a team to watch. Holding onto the 13th position, their victory against Clemson can’t be understated. Lastly, making a significant jump, Colorado claims the 14th spot. Their recent win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers has solidified their position as a formidable contender this season.
