NCAA Football Power Rankings: Final

1. Georgia

The Bulldogs are the class of the country once again and reign supreme over all of college football. Their stomping of TCU was the most dominant playoff victory we’ve ever seen. Michigan, Ohio St, and Alabama will be returning a lot of talent next season, but they will have to wait for their time to shine. For Georgia, the time is now.

2. TCU

Even though the Horned Frogs got obliterated in their final game, I have to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were one of only two teams still playing football at that point. It wasn’t a pretty ending, but the TCU faithful should be proud of the miraculous run they witnessed this season. With quarterback Max Duggan heading to the NFL, TCU may not see itself in this position again for a long time.

3. Michigan

Michigan posted 13 wins in a season for the first time in their storied history, but their 2022 campaign will always be remembered for falling short against a team they should’ve beaten. Star running back Blake Corum made headlines when he announced that he will be returning for his senior season, which should make the Wolverines one of the favorites to be a title contender in 2023. While they came up short of their ultimate goal, Michigan can hang their hat on beating Ohio St and winning the Big 10 in back-to-back years.

4. Ohio St

The Buckeyes were surely in pain watching Georgia roll TCU on Monday night. They were a field goal away from being the team lining up across from the Horned Frogs, but destiny had other plans. Ohio State ends the year with two consecutive losses and will have to wait until next September to get back into the win column.

5. Penn St

You might be scratching your head and asking “isn’t this where Alabama is supposed to be?’ While many voters favor Alabama over Penn State, I am here to tell you they are simply wrong. Penn State’s only losses of the season came against Michigan and Ohio St, making their 2 losses better than Bama’s. And now that they have beaten a top-10 Utah team by double-digits, their overall resume is slightly better than the Crimson Tide’s.
