With Michigan football’s spring game rapidly approaching, few players will get more attention than the members of the highly touted transfer class. All but one of the transfers are currently enrolled at the University of Michigan. But the one player that we’re still waiting to see in maize and blue may be the best one in the bunch. Offensive lineman Ladarius Henderson has delayed his enrollment to finish classes at Arizona State to graduate.
Ladarius Henderson wasn’t exactly expected to take the college football world by storm when he was being recruited out of high school. He was unanimously considered a 3-star prospect by the major recruiting sites. 247Sports had him pegged as the No. 95 player in the state of Texas and the No. 57 offensive tackle in the country.
Henderson committed to Arizona State and made an immediate impact. He appeared in 33 games during his 4 seasons, starting in 29 of them. In 2022 he was elected as a team captain by his teammates. During his junior and senior years he gave up just 2 sacks on 619 pass blocking plays.

After back-to-back Joe Moore Award-winning seasons, Michigan’s offensive line is perhaps the most attractive position group in the country, and Ladarius Henderson had made himself one of the most sought after lineman available in the portal. His decision to head to Ann Arbor was a no-brainer.
Ladarius Henderson was the first transfer player to commit to the Wolverines this offseason, but he’ll be the last we get to see in a Michigan uniform. While he won’t be playing in the 2023 Spring Game, all signs indicate that Henderson will be worth the wait.
