Michigan football recruiting appears to be trending in the right direction with a massive weekend planned in Ann Arbor. After a tumultuous recruiting cycle last year, Michigan hopes to capitalize on big names like Jadyn Davis and Taylor Tatum this cycle.
Jadyn Davis is a familiar name for Michigan football fans. The five-star quarterback out of North Carolina has been a top target for the Wolverines for quite some time now. Michigan was thought to be the clear frontrunner to land Davis several months ago, but his recruitment has cooled in recent months as he visited some other top programs.
Well, Jadyn Davis will be back in Ann Arbor this weekend, along with a host of other top recruits, which seems to indicate that Michigan may still be his top choice. Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider “crystal-balled” Davis to Michigan this past week.
A new name that has piqued the interest of Michigan football recruiting experts is Taylor Tatum. Tatum is a highly-ranked four-star running back out of Longview, Texas. Michigan appears to be hitting the recruiting trail hard in Texas right now. Mike Roach of Horns247 “crystal-balled” Taylor Tatum to Michigan earlier this week. This is big news because the University of Texas is one of the only programs in the country that can boast a backfield with similar recent success as Michigan’s, but Roach believes Tatum is on his way to Ann Arbor. Josh Henschke of Maize and Blue Review forecasted Tatum to Michigan as well.

Michigan is set to host more than 20 other high-profile recruits this weekend alone. Landing Jadyn Davis or Taylor Tatum could be the first of many dominos to fall. And with 2025 Michigan commit Mantrez Walker earning a four-star rating on Rivals recently, Michigan football recruiting is heating up at exactly the right time.
