Big House Bleachers Podcast: Michigan Shuts Out The Spartans, and Sign Stealing Allegations

In the latest episode of the Big House Bleachers podcast, hosts Michael Smeltzer and Matt Hartwell navigate the emotional highs and lows that Michigan fans experienced this week.

The tumultuous week began with news of an NCAA investigation into alleged sign-stealing infractions by the Michigan football team. However, the mood quickly shifted as the Wolverines delivered a crushing 49-0 defeat over arch-rivals, Michigan State, in East Lansing.

The overwhelming victory saw all 74 players take to the field and a stellar performance from quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who threw four touchdown passes before retiring to the bench by mid-third quarter. Following this dominant display, Michigan is now the top contender for the National Championship, with McCarthy leading the charge for the Heisman Trophy.

The podcast episode isn’t just about celebrating the win; the duo also delves into the controversial NCAA investigation. They critique what they perceive as a biased mainstream media portrayal of the situation, emphasizing the scant evidence presented against Michigan.

The episode wraps up with a segment where Matt and Mike pose five pressing questions to each other, reflecting on Michigan’s 8-0 record as they approach the bye week.
