Uconn has already given up 3 interceptions and coughed up 5 fumbles this season. With a hungry Michigan front seven and ball-sharks like DJ Turner and Rod Moore in the secondary, I fully expect the Wolverines’ defense to land in the scoring column.
2. Henning Takes One to the House
Every time AJ Henning is back to return a kick I lean over to my wife and whisper “This is the one.” To me, it just seems inevitable that he will take at least one punt(possibly more) to the house this season. Perhaps I’m jinxing him by saying it out loud, so I give my word to all you great Michigan fans out there; This week I will keep my mouth shut, hold my breath, and let the inevitable play out.
3. CJ Stokes Rushes for 100 Yards
True freshman running back, CJ Stokes, is a prototypical Mike Hart recruit. Rated as a 3-star coming out of high school, he has flown relatively under the radar. But with recent flashes of brilliance, he looks to be preparing to take the next step in his game. With reports that RB2 Donovan Edwards may be nursing an injury, I boldly predict that Stokes will surpass 100 yards rushing this week.
4. Anoma and McGregor Each Get a Sack
Eyabi Anoma and Braden McGregor technically aren’t starters, but the freak-athlete D-linemen have made themselves two of the most exciting fan favorite players on the team. It wouldn’t be bold to predict one of them getting a sack this week against Uconn. However, I think it is bold to say that both of them will get a sack in the same game.
5. Andrel Anthony Has a Breakout Game
We all saw what Andrel Anthony was made of last year against Michigan State, but with the return of Ronnie Bell and the consistent play of Roman Wilson, Cornelius Johnson, and AJ Henning, many fans are asking “Where did Andrel go?” After a slow start to the 2022 season, I’m predicting Andrel gets his legs underneath him and has a breakout performance.
